"A delightful house, renovated sympathetically to preserve its very French character - the well equipped kitchen would inspire any budding chef!

We and our adult children were able to relax, eat delicious market bought food and drink locally produced wines, after tasting them at two local vineyards.

We visited some lovely towns, ate in some excellent restaurants and even enjoyed a day out at the races, at a local racecourse!

The night sky was a star gazer's delight - we were able to count up to 20 of Elon Musk's Starink satellites from outside the kitchen door, whilst owls hooted in the background.

"What a fabulous two weeks we have spent at Le Pastoureau. We particularly enjoyed going to the night market at Lavardens and visiting the fortified village at Larressingle where the children had fun watching and taking part in the demonstration of armoury. Much time was spent enjoying the pool and the peaceful surroundings. The house is so lovely and beautifully decorated and we hope to come back again."

"The children loved catching baby frogs, playing boules and table tennis and chasing each other around the garden and there was not a boring moment. The little ones never seemed to wear any clothes - they had to be forced into them for the photo. Despite the searing heat, the house remained relatively cool and we all slept well thanks to the electric fans. The night markets and the lake were a big hit, too."

"Le Pastoureau is set is idyllic tranquil countryside with barely a discernible noise other than nature to disturb you. The house is incredibly well equipped from the dining room to thoughtful converter plugs throughout. Comfort is key to this wonderful house - deep sofa’s to sink into with a good book and the beds and linen that give you the chance to properly relax and have a truly restorative sleep….for me, it was some of the best sleep in years!

Great wi-fi keeps everyone very happy, but the pool is the jewel in the crown: a really decent size and temperature for everyone to enjoy all day long …and enough space for the squeals of games and delight not to disturb anyone else!

The only problem we encountered was that the bread from the local boulangerie left us with a serious addiction by the end of our stay! We have no hesitation in recommending Le Pastoureau for a family holiday or gathering of friends and cannot wait to return ourselves."
